He played baseball, basketball, and golf at Servite, before committing to golf his senior year. He went on to play golf in junior college and then transferred to San Diego State University for his remaining studies. Matt joined the YLCC family in 1999 and has taught golf for 22 years. Matt was promoted to the role of Head Golf Professional in February 2014. Matt, his wife Shannon, his daughter Faith, and his son Taylor live here in the "Land of Gracious Living".
